Another dumb question from me i am afraid! Is there some accessory available that fits over the external drain tap so you can use a hose to a drain hole on site?

Of course you can make something up-but on sites that cater for motorhomes the general idea is that you drive over the dump point and open valve. (y)

Even on upgraded sites rather than put a gully across the road they added another grate & lid instead. Yet still it is often difficult to get over the grate and often there is only one and on the wrong side meaning you have to go the wrong way on a one way system.
Grate lids are often not put back properly (leaving the handle stuck up) creating a trip hazard and just the fact that elderly users have to bend down and lift one off is bad enough!

We use a washing machine waste hose, purchased from Homebase, the rubber bit fits perfectly over the grey waste tap.

Whilst having a pop at the CC does anyone else have problems with the height of the automatic barriers? I find that they are too low given that the drivers window doesn't go all the way down. I always have to undo my seatbelt and almost get out of my seat to get to the damn things.

Tuggers tugs are lower than us in MoHo's perhaps?

40mm? My grey water waste pipe is about 15mm, takes ages to drain.

That's why I leave it open all the time (y)

I`ve been to garden centres, aquarists, B&Q and Wickes, cannot find anything that will fit. My waste pipe appears to be 55mm external width with a external thread. Anyone please got any ideas?

You can get 50mm dia pond filter pipe, would this push inside you end fitting? Available on eBay or any or garden centres with a pond dept.

Looking at your picture I would say it's a GF plastics valve,
time to look for a serious plumbers merchant or may be agricultural related. Looks as if someone kept the other part!

Thanks for that rb62, it makes sense. When I viewed the MH, that piece wasnt there, because I didnt see anything red (I think) so maybe it was fitted after the sale. It looks like its just been push fitted into the original tube, so I suppose it would pull out. Is there something I could purchase instead?

I should think the cheapest option would be to find something that will fit inside and then connect waste hose to that. Then you can still use the valve.
