Hi,

Just heard on Kent News that there may be a new ferry service starting soon from Dover to Boulogne
, lets hope they can get it off the ground in the present economic climate, as it will be good news for some jobs.

If they can beat £57 return Dover-Calais with Sea France booked through the CC (in June) then they can have my business !!....8 metre auto-trail scout. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Ahem.......Please remember that online site reservations must NOT be made for any caravan or motor caravan exceeding 7.0m in length. Pets can also only be booked through the Club's telephone reservation system on 01342 316101.
Fourth paragraph down on the "online" booking page.

We normally book through the CC too, measuring in at 6.9 metres, (E690 ???:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: fibbers), but can't get it for your price in September. This year we have gone direct to Norfolk Line who only have two categories for MH's, up to 2.4 metres high and more than 2.4 metres high. Sept outbound and October inbound = £58 for midday sailings.:thumb: Beat that for a two hour crossing on really nice ships. (We are turning left out of Dunkerque anyway). Neither Club can offer those prices.

It could have been as low as £35 return, if travelling at ungodly hours of the day.

When reading about the new ferry service, found another mention on the same page about another new ferry service from Ramsgate to Boulogne which is to start March 1st.
We travelled Norfolk Line to Dunkerque, service and ferry excellent, good price too.

Jock.

I always do it on the phone, that way you talk to real people and can ask questions that are instantly answered ( usually ) !
