Hi, we are trying to decide where to go after Almafra, has anyone been to Kiko Park and could you advise on what it is like, how close to the supermarkets, town etc,

We were thinking of going straight to Benicarlo, or even staying at Cap Blanch for 30 days, but it seems to be a bit rough and ready!

Any advice on the above, or any other site in the region would be gratefully received, we dont need much, just close to beach; walking/cycling distance to supermarkets/village; allow dogs. Anywhere between Benidorm and Benicarlo, would be great.

Thanks

Ginny and Mike

Sir, that is called "character". It's the location you stop there for though I'm not sure it's such a bonus in winter. It's glorious in the spring.

Thanks Brian, the location does look great, but they wont let you prebook and we need a couple of backups if it turns out they are full on the 14th January. I get the impression you can park in the carpark but thats not what we want. We want to be comfortable, well a bit comfortable anyway. Kiko park is nearly twice the price, but we can book for a month, the question is how far away is it from the town, supermarkets?

There is/was a backup a quarter of a mile away, an aire-like camping, packed in but might do if you only had to wait a few days.

It was full of nice Dutch people when we were there, fanatical petanc players.

Hang about ! Just looked at Kiko Part, that's Valencia, the Cap Blanche ( with an e ) is close to Benidorm.

We've just come from Kiko park. It's great for dogs as it's right on the beach, unfortunately the camp supermarket is closed from 24th until 29th dec. we cycled up into Oliva itself, took us about 15 mins, there is a big supermarket on the main road just past the sports ground. Playa Oliva itself is very quiet not much going on, there is one restaurant at the campsite, the other is the very posh Kiko Port (quite expensive). I can recommend Benidorm, we are at Villasol, but they don't take dogs. But camping El Raco does. Kaye &Mark
