Tesco at Cheriton, M20 junction 12. There's often MHs in the car park there.

Just to let you know - the back entrance to the tunnel, off the A20, is closed at the moment as they are widening the approach to the booths.

You could stop at the park and ride in Canterbury, its on New Dover Road thirty mins from the port of Dover. Not sure of anywhere near Ashford.

But we have stopped on the car park at the terminus for several hours in the past.

Hoping to do this Sunday night, booked on at 1.50 mon morning, hoping to get there about 10 o'clock Sunday night and see what happens, as we are on a two day cheap ticket , don't suppose they will put us on an earlier one, or it would make us over time anyone done this?

There's the early arrival services--few hundred metres from tunnel. I parked there through night with no problem.

Marine drive just down from the ferry terminal is as good as anywhere and not far from the tunnel.

I think that provided you don't hit a different payment band they will usually put you on an earlier train. They have with us in the past and sometimes have offered us an earlier crossing for about a tenner. That usually is when you hit the slightly dearer crossing timetable.

Like others said when we've got there early the machine has given us a choice of crossings but tbh it's rare we are that too much early a couple of hours max.
