Not long enough, but a little common sense helps..........
I thought members might be interested in the "led" fuses I have fitted in my MH. These are available in any good motorcar accessory store, in my case I got them sent from UK via father in law who went to Halfords.

The picture below is of standard fuse and led fuse.

To show you the led fuse working I have blown it and this is what you see:
Fuse2.JPG

This can save you a lot of time when looking for the "blown" fuse in a confined area were most fuse boxes are.

What a good and easy idea..
A question.. are they as bright as they seem to be in your picture ?

Does it matter which way around they are? Led's by nature only work when wired the correct way, as in the diode only flows current one way.

Not looked on fleabay, but I would have thought they were the same sort of thing.

Nop I also thought that so tried them both ways makes no difference.

That's good to know, I tried google & no luck there, someone had suggested that they had 2 leds wired in parallel, one in each direction which would make sense.

AFAIK John
That CBE distribution board already has LED's built in.If a fuse has gone and the circuit is switched on then the LED behind the blown fuse illuminates red.

Andy, this is a new one for me!!! I never knew this and the reason I ordered the led fuses was because one blew and I could not find which one for ages. Now I will go round to MH later and put a blown fuse in and check this out. Thank you for the information.

Ours already glow red when blown as Andy has said on our motorhome as standard and on Laneside...both are Rapido's...so many may find they may not need them depending on what age the van is.... also Andy's is a Rapido

Normal ones flash with a light when they go but you must be staring at them when it happens.
I'll pass on this as the car has 47 fuses and the transit has loads all over the place, I haven't found them all yet.
Jaws should put some in the sargant box and watch the disco show for entertainment.

On the Rapido CBE distribution unit the LED is in the fuse holders not the fuses

Andy, good morning just come back from MH and tried everything, even replaced all fuses with blown ones and no "red" light/background....... nothing. So removed cover of fuse box and there are no leds or bulbs behind cover or mounted on panel. It is CBE as photo shows, so must be an old fuse box in a 2011 MH..... I will do some research today on the Benimar MH.

I did not post as a "new" idea! only posted to share incase MH owners had not seen them before and also very handy if like my fuse box is in a tight space.

On my 09 Rapido fuses were 'lit' from behind, when fuse fuse blew the light went out
Think it was a Scheiber unit

Yup LED's but only on the fuse holders that are actually employed, not the out of use ones.

You need the fuse out or a blown one AND the circuit must be on. So if you have switched the lighting on on the overdoor panel you also need to switch a light switch on. removing the lighting fuse should then bring the fuse fail LED on. Same for each circuit.
