Planning a trip starting from Calais, to Germany along the Rhine across into Austria to Salzburg across to Vienna, through Slovenia into Northern italy, South France and home.
We have some basic idea's, but would appreciate and welcome any advise/comments on such a routing, we are quite flexible on our actual itinerary.
Looking at April-May 2015

May/June might be better weather wise.

Fine plan as long you allocate at least a month otherwise it's just a route march.

There is hope for you.

Be flexible, if you like a place, stay, the others will be there next year.

18 months ago we did a lot of that, Germany was the plan but we did not get acceptable weather until we got down to Riccioni.

Cant help with route, as i dont know exactly what you want to see, but you must visit Munich a lovely place, we found two sites best one is Thalkirchen, bus from site to stn then train to city, Nice site in Salzburg is Nord Sam, and sound of music tour is great,

hope you enjoy it where ever you go,

Eric
