So - we've been back from our first trip for nearly a week and I find that I'm driving the car as though it's the van .....and as we were in the New Forest this consists of mainly looking for overhanging branches:LOL:

Also, I've never driven a 6-speed before but this hasn't stopped me trying to put the car into 6th several times:eek::eek::confused:

As the oh doesn't use FUN I feel free to confess all this - is there a cure or is it a permanent state of affairs?

Please advise:)

Yep - been waving both in the van and car, like mad - to all sorts, including horseboxes, work/delivery vans and ice cream vans:D:X3:

Did notice the VW dudes have such a cool wave:cool:

And nobody waved back on Sunday evening on the way home - is this because everyone is sad to be going home (I know I was):)

I also wave when driving the car whenever I see a motorhome - much to hubbie's embarrassment! Always a bit disappointed when they do not wave back and then remember I am driving a car! Sad but still so enthused about being a chugger!

That's the one:)

Sounds like there's no known cure then - apart from going out more in the van - ah well, I can think of worse things:) (And making sure the oh isn't in the car with me the first time I drive it after driving the van:cool::confused::))

I drive (and own) a variety of vehicles from a 71 MGBGT throuigh a left hand drive Pinninfarina spider to a modern 4X4 and motorhome. They range from 4 sp to 4 sp + Overdrive, 5 and 6 speed but the one thing that is common when I am driving any of them is.....I am always looking for a good layby or other stopping place for the MH!

Just so long as it's only looking for overhead branches and waving :)

What ever you do, don't attempt to use the loo!! :Eeek: :)

Ah wonder if that had something to do with it on the way home - although there was a bloke in a Rapido coming off the m40/a34 slip having a good look.
There was no way I could wave without being some sort of contortionist

Now that's a very good piece of advice:LOL:
