I live full-time in my van.

Access to the internet is vital to my life.

No internet = no life.

Sad but true.

I don't usually use campsites or "aires" (both the same thing in my book).

I am mostly in Portugal.

So for years, I have had a data contract with Vodafone.pt which has served me brilliantly.

Unlimited use for €36 a month (maximum speed available).

Coverage is excellent and only a very few places cause me grief...

Sadly one of these places is on my own (little) patch of land which I call Quinta Majay (QMJ) and where I love to spend time.

I could always get a signal of sorts through my little mifi thingy and sometimes it was excellent but sometimes very, very slow.

Last week I was having a superb stay on QMJ, strimming and pruning and sitting in the sun, but the wretched internet was slow and ruining my radio reception and hence... the football commentary!

Enough was enough and I contacted Funster Adam at www.MotorhomeWifi.com and ordered a...

Netgear Air Card and a (stick on the window) MIMO antenna.

They arrived promptly, carefully and properly packed, and on investigation looked like really good bits of gear.

Well designed and well put together.

Very, very slightly disappointed that it didn't work when first plugged in but this was only because the Portuguese Vodafone settings weren't preloaded in the device and in minutes, Adam emailed the website giving me the correct info.

All I had to do was type in "internet.portugal.pt" and off we went!

It was flying at the Studio... but how would it do out in the sticks at QMJ?

Well it works magnificently!

Yes the signal is sometimes better than at other times but it is ALWAYS far, far faster than before and so I am absolutely delighted.

This kit is a massive improvement on what I had before.

Everything about MotorhomeWifi reeks of class, quality and customer service.

Very highly recommended.

Yes Mr Mariner...

I find great comfort in knowing I will be helped by Adam if I get stuck.

Indeed the first (and only) time I met Adam was at a (busy) show where he took time out to unlock my Portuguese mifi thingy for me for no charge.

I wasn't a customer, just a bloke who had wandered up to their stand.

I always remember such details.

Anyhow, I am now about to buy the iBoost Pro wifi antenna thingy so when I am on my little spot at the Praia Da Rocha, Portimao parking place I will be able to use their wifi instead of my Vodafone connection. (They say "unlimited use" but after 15 gigs they do slow it diwn a bit.)

If only City didn't score so many goals I wouldn't use up my bandwidth watching the replays... over and over and over!

Since 2007. But no more.
Being a Grimsby Town supporter, bandwidth is never a problem, as they are never on TV.

In fact they rarely get onto Radio Humberside and that's our local station.

Goals? What are they?

We just don't do that sort of thing!!!!

Seconded, I've had nothing but excellent service and support from them.

You can get high gain antenna to plug into a mifi, I haven't tried them myself but they are available. I just have a very basic external antenna which gives improved performance over the mifi used on its own. A high gain might work in marginal situations.
