I know this not a motorhome related question but I think we have quite a few truckers and ex truckers on the forum. Hubby is new to this trucking lark having only recently got his HGV and is having problems with his tachograph. It did work properly for his first few journeys but he now regularly gets 'Error 28' showing and can't seem to find any info on what this means. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I asked hubby said question and he has suggested that, assuming we're talking about a digital tacho, he may not be 'ending shift' before taking his tacho out. If you go through end shift and it confirms, it will ask if you want a printout, this should clear it.

good luck (y)

If he has a problem with it he can still do the disc tacho. But as said he probably put it slot 2. Digital card is a nightmere anyway

Thank you all for your suggestions. Apparently the card worked perfectly yesterday but didn't work the day before even though he was driving the same truck. Maybe he should apply for a new card.
By the way, he has been keeping it in his wallet!!

I got caught out with that one, and had to have the card replaced. :(

Cheers,

Jock.
