Good afternoon everyone,
Has anyone experienced any problems with the clutch thrust bearing on a 130 multijet with the six speed gearbox on the Fiat X250.
Regards
Ray

I had a problem with the pedal sticking down, then the clutch would not clear.
Changed the thrust bearing the pipe and the extension pipe / bleed nipple.

Good morning all thank all for your replies.
It looks like at the moment that it seems to be just a bit of bad luck on my part, after looking on lots on forums to find how many others have suffered from similar problems.
Just one other thing, the leak from the bearing bid not contaminate the clutch plate, so the only part to be replaced was the bearing, cost £85 which comes complete with extinction pipe and bleed nipple, the down side is the gearbox has to be removed to replace the part.

why take it all apart and not replace the clutch you might as well do that as well at the same time.

Hi Wildman
I understand where you’re coming, as I stated in my thread there was no contamination on the clutch plate and very little signs of any wear, so in my opinion it did not need changing.
Believe it or not it is a very straight foreword job even in a car park so at home it would be much easier.
The hardest thing was trying to get the part in Spain, gave up in the end and had the part flew out to me in Tavernes.

Im confused........

Hydraulic release bearing ?

Release bearing is a caged ball race which is actuated by a release fork, pushing the bearing onto the clutch pressure plate
The fork is moved either hydraulically by a slave cylinder or by a cable.

The slave cylinder may well be in the bell housing but has no resemblance to the bearing.

I can only assume you mean the slave cylinder had failed and that comes complete with extension pipe and nipple as its inside the bell housing.

Hi Pappajohn

You are right it is the clutch bearing that operates the clutch, it is actually called a Hydraulic Concentric Slave Cylinder
