Hi we recently bought our first Motorhome , an Apache 632. It's a 2009 model with low mileage and has been loved by its previous owners. As the title suggests, we were caravanners for many years and finally made the change this April. Already been to several sites since taking delivery with more booked. Going to Hawes this weekend. Loving it so far despite the odd glitch.

Hi and welcome,
we've just joined but still have our shed at the mo:Sad:

Can I ask, are you finding that you research more re site location with a m/h or do you have another way of getting around once on site?

same principle....different world :thumb:

No unhitching and dragging about.
No water to lug across acres of campsite daily.
No grey waste container to lug across acres of campsite daily.
No complicated and over engineered awning to erect.

Drive on, level up and beer/wine opened.

Far more civilised :thumb:

We very recently changed from dragging a shed to a motorhome and love it ::bigsmile: We now tour around and love changing sites it is so easy. We do pick our sites carefully either near a town or on a bus route. We walked much more on our recent peak district holiday but felt so much healthier for it. Somebody once told me that it turns you into a pedestrian and a public transport user. But I felt much more relaxed and enjoyed getting on a bus. ::bigsmile:

Much easier than a caravan, I love the motor home, in a week I stayed on four different sites in different places, couldn`t have done that in a caravan without a lot of hassle, still have both, not my idea to keep the caravan.

Hi

I think the simple answer is yes a bit more planning is required unless you just want to sit around the van all day or keep moving on, which is easy of course.

We cycle so are OK for transport but in the winter we think a bit more about bus routes and public transport.

Ex shed dragger as well:Smile:
