Table leg advice (1 Viewer)

We have two tables in our van. The smallest sits on a pole that locates in a socket just behind the front seats that we use with the seats swivelled round. Its small and copes with minimal breakfasts only.
The big table is free standing and stands between the two side facing sofas.
Heres the problem. Small table is too small to be useful all the time. Big tables legs restrict access past the table if anyone is sitting at it.
So, I would like to mount the big table on a pole and insert the pole in the socket that the small table uses. Problem is, the hole is too far forward.
What I need is either a swan neck pole so the table can be used where we usually have it, but can be swivelled about to enable easy access.
Anybody know of such a device?

Never seen such a device but someone may have a specialist leg of that sort sounds expensive to me though
My choice would be a second "proper" floor mount, your going to have to buy the table half of the mount so go for the pair and do it as it should be done.

Second observation you will of course loose the ability to use the large free standing table under your awning

You can get the legs with 90 deg angle that I'm sure would be OK for your idea. We have one and do something similar to your idea.

Try O'Learys where we got ours, they have lots of bits like that.

Hi as Geo says you can buy and fit the proper mount -but if I was you I would not bother because from the sound of your large table poles are not the safest thing ever dreamed up (flying creamed mushrooms and bowls of tomato soup)don't ask lets just say the table has been in the garage for around 7 yrs

Just found this, its on a US site though but is something that might work, if it was a bit smarter looking...

It could move the table away from the original hole without having to put in a new mount

I thought about that but the big table will be too far forward and will not fit between the seats. It won't be back far enough to fit between the side sofas either.

Boat marinas used to stock just what your looking for, made by Paddy Hopkirk, (now defunct company), however, the boating sites may be the answer to your problem. The leg 'kinked' in the middle, before going up again, allowing you to swing the whole thing around to a suitable position.

When we had the Burstner we relegated the large table to the loft and bought a freestanding Cafe table with a pedestal base. The table was about 600mm diameter and we just moved it around to where we wanted it.

We use our two legged table with only one leg all the time, right handy to be able to swivel it out the way, its never dropped out or anything like that

I removed the big (and incredibly heavy,) fixed table from my MH and fitted a smaller, light tabletop on a Desmo leg. Its never wobbled or anything like that. The original table is in the loft, along with the carpet so I can put them back if I ever need too.

N.B. I don't like the sound of minimal breakfasts, I hope you mean only two sausages instead of four.
