Hi all,
I have recently been told that if I have Gaslow or similar fitted us ing refillable bottles, I can't travel through the Eurotunnel. I know you good folk will know the truth:thumb:
TIA

LPG propelled vehicles are banned.

You can travel with a gaslow system or standard calor bottles used for cooking and heating etc. It will be checked on embarcation and sealed.

So the urban myths have struck again.

No problem with Gaslow, we do it with a Gaslow bottle every year, and they don't seal them, they just make sure you have turned them off (!), but if your vehicle can be powered by LPG it's a no no.

Confirm what others have said. never had a problem with our twin Gaslow system. They just check the valves are closed.

no problem at all, we have two gaslow bottles and have been back and forth through the tunnel 3 times in the last year.

They just check it's switched off

We agree, no problem we came back through last week, they just check that it's switched off.

traction (engine) LPG.....

I believe the main reason you cant travel is the tanks cant easily be turned off or checked.

The other reason is probably the quantity carried.

Calor/Gaslow.......a bottle is a bottle is a bottle.
Try sticking one under the chassis and tell them its there, they wont let you travel as they cant easily check if its turned off and they wont crawl underneath....just the same as traction lpg tanks.
