Hi
A.O. 14 will be held again at Stratford race course Sept.26- 27-28.

http://www.adventureoverlandshow.com/

It is aimed at ANYONE interested in overland travel whether by push-bike--8x8 monster truck--and everything in between (we all fit in there somewhere ) it covers travelling in Europe or MUCH further afield. ------There is a big section especially for motorcycle travel. -----Like last year there will be some WICKED trucks (our own Pat&Neil might attend again this year). It is also for 4x4 enthusiasts.

Motorhome Fun will have their own area set aside (but we (Sundowners) will be unable to put on any entertainment in that area---but anyone is welcome to do this------we will be marshalling the 'Display Vehicles'.

Booking is to be direct to AO then put your names on this thread to say you have done so. Mention that you want to be in the MHFun area.

We are hoping to get there, but at the moment we cant commit to anything.
,
For those thinking of going it is a really interesting show, with a few talks on about things too.

Last year they had a very cheap bar going too.

Plus showers and toilets to use.

We were with the Silk Route group last year.

Nigel it will be great seeing all the display vehicles again.

Plus also the venue is Stratford upon Avon, which is always a good base.

Fingers crossed

I kind of remember the bar:whatthe: great cheap real ale!

Loads of talks and demo's too, all day and into the evening..well worth the going to!

Caught a really bad cold just in time for the show last year which put a damper on it, but still great!

Hi all

Good news! I got back in touch with the Organiser to see if a deal could be done on the price and pleased to say it is with positive results.

He said,

"It would be really nice to see the Motorhome Fun forum have a line-up there, so by way of a concession, I can offer MHF members an 'introductory 50% discount' as this would be their first attendance of the "Adventure Travel & Overland Show".

Normally it is £25 for a 3-night camping permit (Fri-Sun) + £20 per adult for a 2-day admission ticket (children under 16 yrs are free) ... thus the weekend would cost a total of £45 for one adult, £65 for two adults, etc.

So, half price entry is not to be sniffed at, as the weekend would now cost just £22.50 for one adult, £32.50 for two adults, including camping for the whole weekend.

We would like this to become an official meet, so make the most of this offer and get booking with Tom, not forgetting to mention you are a Fun member to get this discount.

We are sure you will enjoy this show as much as we did last year. It refreshing having something different to the same old same old motorhome shows.

Since 2005! 2000+ nights so far...
Had seen this previously, last year maybe, and had it on our to-do list.

May well come along and see what is there as we do like a bit of variety..... Thanks for sorting the discount - that's a great tempter too!

Is there enough to keep us entertained for 2 days?

And for the discounted rate, assume payment and contact is just via email above?

Will speak to the wife when she comes back from pole dancing ;)

Great!

Looks like we can go! Hopefully we can share some stories of our antics, and we hope our legs will have recovered from us cycling to the south of France in July.

But we've not been to a Fun Rally before.... Not sure if we've met any of you guys before? And we're shy :winky:

Hi Active Campers

We are hoping to get along to this meet, its an interesting meet, and it also walkable into town from there (although we didnt get time to do that last year).

We might even bring Dinger (andy and Lorraine) along, but then again they might be working still

Have a great cycling trip.

lol if they are working! We met "Dinger" in France when they knocked on our door and said "Hi Mel & Ryan - we know you from your blog!". Fame and fortune. Well maybe not. We have talked about you two in their company, so be good to see you!

Hi
We have been asked about generators at AO show--------the information is in the show details---------basically----there is no control IF none of your neighbours object, so will be OK if used respectfully :Smile:
It's looking like it will be even better than last year :thumb::thumb:
