I'm a newbie.
I too love them but find I'm always asking myself:

"How do they water the plants which are sky high?" :roflmto:

I'd love to know!

Camping Brillante is way too rich for our blood. Stayed there 2 years ago @ €30+ per night for, really, a very basic camp site. Non ACSI. We are presently free parking near the city walls heading back home to Malaga later in the day.

Hard to define the area. It is a large open area used by the locals as free car park, firm sandy surface and reasonably level. We have been parked here four nights without problem. No facilities, but perfect location for "casco antiquo", the patios, shops and bars etc.

Info re patios

Just some info for those planning to visit the patios, now or in the future.

This year the Feria de Los Patios runs, daily, until 18thMay

The patios are, in the main, to be found in private houses and admittance is free of charge although as a courtesy you may choose to leave a small donation in the boxes/trays etc found at the entrance to most patios.......... you are not obliged to do so.

A very few of the patios are located within commercial enterprises and for these an admission is charged........... we pass these by. They are clearly identified on the excellent, official, patio guides available from tourist offices and many other locations around the city.

Opening hours, 1100 to 1400 and 1800 to 2200 daily.

Important.
Over the years this feria has developed into a hugely attractive event and at times huge crowds form awaiting admission to certain patios in the old town, including large tour groups.
This year for the first time admission to all patios is by ticket only on FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

The tickets are still free but in the interests of avoiding the congestion of previous years tickets must be obtained in advance from tourist offices around the city.

Do not be put off by this new innovation it is meant to be helpful.

Regards, Bryan
