Pilote Explorateur Diamond Edition G742 - LGJE (2012) 3 berth 'A' class.

(I just noticed in some of the pictures it looks as if the motor home is leaning to one side. The reason for that is, that it is. It can tilt on the air suspension, and I leave it like that after washing so water can run off the roof) Oops.

AL-KO AMC chassis plated weight 4500 kgs

3.0 litre 180 hp Fiat Euro 5 Engine with cam chain. (no cam belt)
26500 miles half of which have been done by us.

MOT'd until 14.08.2021
Full Service history. Last major service 3.08.2020
Last Al-KO AMC chassis service 3.08.2020
Last Habitation check 3.08.2020 (No issues)

Comfortmatic gearbox. Works in either automatic mode (with the ability to change gear manually if desired), or manual mode in which gears are selected and managed by the robotised clutch.

Variable Speed Limiter and Cruise Control

Hill descent button which keeps the vehicle in a gear longer than normal mode to assist with either steep ascents or descents. Really saves the brakes down steep hills if you've never tried one.

Entertainment system with bluetooth and integrated reversing camera screen

Reversing sensors

Electric front windscreen shutter

Electric and heated double coach style rear view mirrors (including blind spot)

Tinted, double glazed driver and passenger side windows, with blackout blinds

Cab air conditioning.

Aguti driver and passenger captains chairs

VB full 4c air suspension all round. Multi function adjustable (via drivers handset or automatic) suspension which allows ride height to be adjusted for different surfaces, front or rear raising for where necessary, for example driving onto a ferry at high or low tide etc etc. Tilting to one side to assist loading via habitation door or to completely empty the waste water tank. Auto Leveling within it's capabilities when parked or on a site.

240 litre fresh water tank. 180 litre waste tank.

Twin beds over a huge garage. The twin beds can be electrically moved into a central double bed setup

There is a third bed which can be made up on the dining area over seats, but we've never used that.

Seat belts for 4.

Original fitted carpets (never used by us) and spares made to pattern for use if we take our dog with us.

Fully winterised, with 20cm double floor throughout containing storage space which is all heated by the Alde wet radiator system. (Serviced and flushed 18 months ago, and re-filled with the 5 year protection mix.) Also has a heat exchanger system in the engine which can be turned on to give a boost to the heating while driving. The central heating can be 'on' when travelling in this motor home. As can the other services. It is highly efficient and we have been 'toasty' in all circumstances! The garage is also heated. Many settings available. It also works on mains electricity, or both, for a very fast warm up from cold.

Lights, power, and external shower in the huge garage, which will, and did carry a motor scooter. Wheel brackets and ramp included if required

Replacement Full size fridge freezer which is the new style Dometic RMD 10 series

Fully automatic, including turning power off for shorts stops at petrol stations etc. It's main claim to fame is that the doors open from either side! Very clever, and very convenient as it it turns out.

Oven/grill over fridge. Three burner gas cooker with extractor/light over.

Electric step, with courtesy lights on entry.

Sun blinds and mosquito nets to all windows, roof vents and net for the Hartel habitation door.

Auto locking habitation door when driving begins, unlock from drivers seat or manually.

LED functional and mood lighting throughout.

Pull up unit with built in TV. Pre-wired for bedroom TV. (not fitted)
Many 240 volt plugs and 12v sockets in all internal areas.

2 x 150 watt solar panels charging 2 less than a year old 90 amp leisure batteries, which in turn top up the engine battery.

3000 watt pure sine wave inverter with two dedicated extra 240 watt plugs in the habitation area for off grid use.

Separate toilet/washroom with cupboards. Shower with radiator and small clothes drying pull out.

The toilet door also doubles as a door to the sleeping area if required.

Awning rail fittings outside habitation door

Fiamma wind out awning (less than 1 year old)

Double Bike rack

Gaslow re - fillable gas system, fitted with 2 x 11kg gas bottles with auto changeover and crash protection. Interior monitoring gauge and on/off switch. Gas bottles can be removed for a slight reduction in the price if not required.

Exterior gas bbq fitting

Alloy wheels with tyre pressure monitoring gizmos fitted (included)

Many exterior and interior storage lockers.

We currently have two alarms, the keyfob original, a tracker (not currently monitored) and built in immobiliser. We have also fitted the Outsmart the thief monitored 'lockdown' alarm, immobiliser and tracker with additional interior panic alarm button for pinpointing location for the control room for either fear of attack, illness or other reason. (European coverage) This system allows remote shutting down of the vehicle at any time it is stationary from the control room or owners app. This expensive system can be removed for a slight reduction in the price so it can be installed in our next motor home if not required.

We have a personal number plate on the vehicle at the moment which we will be retaining.

We have a 'gold' MB&G warranty for this motor home which covers many mechanical problems which could arise. I pay around £28 a month for this, provided it has at least an annual/scheduled service and habitation check. The company tell me this can be continued for any new owner as it's condition and service history is recorded by them via the chassis number.

We have currently removed the original table, but it easily bolts back. It is a substantial multi directional and height adjustable table at which 4 or 5 could sit around.

Reason for sale if you got this far.....We were going to downsize next year, but have now cancelled our two month trip to Spain and Portugal from late September onwards, and will try again next spring, which was going to be the swap point. Seeing if we can bring the swap forward to get to 'know' a new motor home before a big trip.
Please note: We are still using the motor home so it has all our going away 'stuff' inside it, and it may have 'dust' for any viewings depending on when we arrive home.
The price is £49250 o.v.v.v.n.o.
