Coming up to our first year of motor homing (October) and had some sleepless night before buying and after in case we had made a mistake, it’s a big outlay. anyway after a few glitches with the van an illness and the loss of our beloved wee dog we did a couple of weekend trips then set out proper to make our way round the Cotswold for two weeks in June, our stops were planned to be within walking distance of some lovely towns which made this trip something quite special. Soon with the help of our van, the places we stopped and the lovely people we met along the way the feeling of happiness started to creep back into our days.
Since then we spent a few days in Garlieston down Dumfries & Galloway area which is the loveliest spot so far, like stepping back in time and well worth a visit, beautiful walks & a sweet wee village with one pub and a beautiful bay. We also fell more in love with our van by just taking a cup of tea and a sandwich just 5 minutes down to our nearest beach to sit and people watched for an hour or two and even pop into it in our drive for a different view of our garden.
So here we are now, pleased to declare that we love our life in our van and planning a trip near Oban soon and just might try some wild camping when we feel brave. We bought a ‘U’ shaped lounge 2006 Avantgarde and it’s so comfy.
