You would think so John, wouldn't you.

I have just installed the dongle on the home PC upstairs, and I am getting 2 bars out of 10 for signal strength on HSDPA, and I am looking at the exchange mast. Not that looking at iit will increase the signal strength at all.

Jock.

Oops, it's just dropped to 1 bar on 3G now.

That last post took 14 seconds to send using the dongle.

This one took 5 seconds on BT Broadband.

That's because the previous post had more content and smilies.

I am currently on FREE Wifi (bad lad) connection connected at 11mps at a range of up to 1 mile. it took 8 seconds to send this.

I went back and edited that post with the smilies, and it took 2 seconds this time.

Free WiFI eh?

Chance would be a fine thing.

There's no doubt about it, my BT Broadband is very fast, compared to 3's HSDPA.

Experiment now. :Laughing ::RollEye s::A ngry:

That only took 8 seconds. See, told you.

Hi Jock,

The mast you can see may not be the mast that you are connecting to.

The mast may have vodafone or 02 etc. on it but not 3. If that is the case you may be connecting to one quite some distance away...

HTH

Bryan

(note: This post took 0.083 seconds to send but then I do have 18mbps broadband )
