Default Overnight stopover M1/M18

For those of you who are not aware, there is an overnight rest facility just off junction 1 of the M18.
It is called the Stockyard,
Hellaby Lane,
Hellaby Ind. Est.
S66 8HN
Tel 01709 730083
01709 700200
They do breakfasts from 5am
Bar meals noon to 5pm, carvery 5-9pm Mon - Fri
Breakfasts only Sat to 10.30am, bar opens at 4.00pm
Sunday carvery noon to 4.00pm
Overnight parking is £10.50 per unit for which you can use their shower/washroom facilities and you get £2.00 off a meal.
This is a truckstop and the car park is enormous but can get busy.
I have no connection with this business but I just felt it might be useful for m/homers who are on long journeys. I hope I've not broken any protocols?

There used to be a Campanile there but it's now changed hands.
We live nearby and called in today for a meal. Excellent value and "real" food ie pies with proper crusts on them, not this poncy filo pastry

Sometimes on Friday nights they also have live entertainment on in the bar.

Thumbs up

This has to be the best truckstop in Britain. Good food and drink, good staff and a lovely set up, made almost entirely of recycled materials. If I remember correctly, the bar was a bank counter in a previous life.

First class stopover.
