scarborough council fine themselves !!!
this is really getting out of hand now
a scarborough council traffic warden (or enforcment officer as they are now known) has stuck a parking ticket on a scarborough council refuse truck
they've taken to fining themselves in our topsy turvy town.
the bin wagon was collecting footpath bin rubbish on the seafront....ok he was parked on a bus-stop cos cars were parked on the loading bay.....driver asked to move by traffic taliban.....driver explained loading bay full of cars and he would be a couple of minutes.
too late, ticket writen and applied.
i know the rules apply to all drivers but this is getting rediculous

It does seem ridiculous but it sometimes appears - here in Middlesbrough at least - that some bin wagon drivers deliberately pull up where it is most inconvenient for other road users.
On numerous occasions I've seen wagons halt alongside other vehicles in narrow roads (blocking traffic in both directions) when it would be easy to go a few yards forward so as to be able to pull in to the kerb. Another favourite trick is to stop alongside a central traffic island rather than just past it, so that traffic is forced to wait.
