It's a good idea, but I'd be careful. At best, they'll refuse to empty it, and at worst they'll fine you. Actually, since you can get fined now for not having the lid on your bin closed properly, they may even lock you up or shoot you for putting out a non-approved wheely bin.

Edit: Sorry, should read properly, just spotted it's the same village!

ahh .. but have your bins been 'chipped' yet?

Round here they can apparently read the chip and tell who is wasting what and what you had for dinner last week including what it weighed. Surely they would be able to tell that the bins have undergone a wifeswap and moved a few hundred yards up the road?

Suppose you could deny all knowledge and blame it on the local yoof playing bin tricks because they do not have a yoof club to loiter around

Hi John, some councils will try to help if there is someone in the house who has a medical problem. Might be worth trying.

Not quite what I had in mind George.

Funny enough there was an article in our local rag last night about someone having trouble with rubbish collection. The councils response was that if someone in the house has a medical problem then they would take a sympathetic view and help out.

The new road tax along with rising fuel costs may make you decide a 5.7 litre car is not such a good idea after all!
