The t mobile one only comes with a short (24") lead.

Mine is T-Mobile as well Steph.

The leads in the photo are about 7 inches and 56 inches long respectively.

Wonder if they are changing the package as often as the prices?

The mini plug fits into the dongle and the standard plug fits into the USB socket on the laptop.

Ah, that explains it. Mines the fatter white one - what T-M call the USB Modem as opposed to the USB Stick.

When I got mine in March the modem was cheaper than the stick - cheapskate me - but I see they are the same price now.

You'll be amazed Pappa, we've found it's almost as fast as our 2MB ntl at losding pages such as "fun". Where it does tend to be a bit slower is downloading movies or large files. I've just updated AVG on mine and it was literally seconds.
