Hi Dazzer, on my pc (windows XP) the itunes music is in a folder called "itunes" inside the "my music" Folder.

You need to know what type of disk you have, if it will not fit onto a new PC the chances are it a PATA but have a look at the label on it. Then buy a hard disk enclosure which will then attach to your PC via USB, that way you get to keep your old hard disk which is good for backups and extra storage etc. all in a neat setup outside your PC

Enclosures are cheap and take just a minute or two to set up, there are loads of them <here>

Be careful.
JIM seens to have the right way.
I was trying to change from PC to laptop and wiped the whole thing clean.
I was ok because I had all the music CD and just loaded them again.
itunes likes to keep a reins on things.
