Sorry work ended a bit late today!
First to answer to Gail (ourcampersbeentrashed) : Yes , Steph had a few disabilities but as it was supposed to be cured with time and patience, she wasn't supposed to be stopped/bothered in her searches for a long time. She was though! as she could only rely on me to be driven to interviews(which i couldn't do, having myself to work 7/7days!) and anyway most of her contacts in audio visual told her not to speak about her "short prob"(hmmmm 7months is quite a long time when you need to work quickly) in order not to "burn" her chances.... don't know if you say so in english. Most of the big audio visual firms being in Paris anyway she would have needed a private chauffeur to drive her everywhere, as not considered as a disabled since the achillies tendons would have been be repaired sooner or later.Neverthless as soon as she has been able to walk she's been working hard to find a job!
Now to tell you the whole story about this interview this is how it hapened: She sent a lot of spontaneous letters with CV and motivations as unsollicited applications. Most of them were by mails.... less expensive and sometimes, she was pushing a bit more by phoning to the firm. Quite recently she was told that most of the unsollicited applications were just deleted without being read by most of the big firms so the little clever one decided to send the next ones (especially to the most interresting ones), by post. One of them was to that big firm in Paris. They were not looking for anyone, so no advert at all, only Steph's searches on the net had motived her to write to them. Luck was there, they read her CV and letter, and the director decided to phone to her straight away .... BECAUSE they were about to look for someone and she had the good profile and they liked her letter and CV was most convincing. So she already had an "suprised interview" of 15 minutes just about on the phone; after which the director told her "i'd like to meet you". He never asked whether she could talk english or not (but she had written on her CV she could) but the prob is that Steph is a very stressed person who needs to be "perfect" so better to make her feel ok if she can anticipate what could be a "little" prob. her english is very scholar and she reads better than she talks . she can get the subject of a conversation but she might be clumsy when it's time to answer.
IMO she has great chances to get the job since we've looked everywhere on the net and on papers and the firm didn't ask for anyone up to now. They are probably waiting to see if Steph can do it. She knows the vocabulary of HER job which is, to me, already good !
I just want her to feel peaceful, stress is an ennemy sometimesand sorry to say that here but Steph vomits each time, which is quite annoying of course.
I think that phone conversation with the director was great because she was so suprised she had no time to stress and to think about her answers so all was "her true personnality"
All your answers already (even yours Brian

) were useful!
Thanks for her!!
Now have to prepare meal so better go before someone shouts of hungryness
