Trevor's dad
My dad died on Saturday. If you'd passed him in the street you wouldn't have known but he was one of the most remarkable men I've ever known. He was full of adventure, he never understood the words 'that can't be done' and he made people laugh. A lot.
He and my mother made it so that me and my brothers and sister had the confidence to go out and do absolutely anything. If it went wrong, well, at least we'd given it a try and there was always home to come back to so that we could plan the next foray into the world.
We were with him at the end and, as a result of how he was, we're ready to start this next bit of our life adventure with strength and confidence.

What a wonderful positive post.
What more could any father ask than a tribute like that. I'll raise a glass to him. And to you.

As parents all we can hope for is to guide our children, encourage and nurture
them, your Dad certainly must have, and you are obviously very proud of him.
Lovely words .

Sounds like the type of father everyone should have. My dad was very similar. As for MND I lost a friend to it many years ago,and my pals beautiful sister now has it.
I say beautiful because in my youth she was my dream girl. I saw her at my chums in May and she was walking with 2 sticks her speech was a little slurred. I had had a mild stroke earlier in the year, and all she could say was how am I? Ther's no answer to that. Now she is confined to a wheelchair and on a peg feed. Whenever I can I contribute to MND research charities,it is one of those conditions which ranks with Cancer and heart disease.
You father is now whole again and living in your memories RIP Dads and Mums everywhere.
