Default Low Emissions Sheep !

Just heard on the news, must be my sense of humour ..

Australian aims to breed 'green' sheep that burp less

Quote:
Australian scientists have said they are hoping to breed sheep that burp less as part of efforts to tackle climate change.
.. clever scientists .. who would have guessed

Quote:
The scientists in New South Wales have been conducting experiments in specially designed pens where they measure how much gas sheep emit by burping.

They have found, from tests on 200 sheep so far, that the more they eat, the more they belch.

So they have discovered that the more they eat the more they burp

And these "scientists" went to uni for how long to uncover this ground breaking news

They could have asked anyone on the street what the outcome would have been and saved themselves a whole heap of cash

The world has gone mad

Apparently they have discovered that the sheep produce more methane when burping than when passing wind. A spokesman said that up to now our research has been directed at the wrong end of the animal.
