Yes, that's right - two bridges to assist BATS to fly over the new bypass.
The local council defended building the bridges by way of saying that BATS are protected species and therefore they were entitled to assistance to cross over the road. However the Council were a bit upset by the fact that after considerable research - only about a dozen bats have been seen in the vicinity of the Bridges.
Perhaps the bats need the sign writers of Bolton to show them where the bridges are.

and then, presumably because they had spent all the money for the bats, the Council didn't have enough money to do any landscaping of the roundabout at the Bodmin end
BUT, absolutely refused to allow local citizens the right to do a landscaping job themselves, citing danger to traffic caused by the locals making too good a job of making the roundabout a beautiful place and distracting drivers!!!
Talk about 'You couldn't make it up'
