Cool Warning Signs

Just read somewhere that the Red and White warning signs for the rear bike racks if youv'e got bikes on are obligatory for Spain....Now I knew they were for Italy but did'nt realise they were for Spain.. We were there this year Jan --April and saw lots of vans without them.. now were they lucky not to incur the wrath of the Guardia Civil/Policia Local or is it just a rumour!!

Any Ideas anyone!!

These rules seem to come and go at random (or that's how it feels) I just wacked a plastic Fiamma job (£4.99) on the back of the folded rack and be done with it.

I work on the principle you cannot be fined for having one when not required (hopefully) but can be fined for not having one when required.
