hi it is not me who is knolagable but my mate(who does all mine & mends tvs computers etc)I am more passonate about not getting ripped off with tvs etc,just make sure that it says 12v on the back then you can wire it stright to your 12v sorce.BTW i use mine 12v all of the time -on hook up etc, only never use it while traveling but have run engine with tv on and no dammage.Make sure it is the plug in the pic as some are 4 pin but even then you can get a 4 to 2 pin adapter from maplins
