Default Avtex153D/?????/Multimo sat dish

Hi everyone, I know this is going to be a silly question but I have to ask it. Should my Avtex 153D TV and my Multimo portable sat dish be able to talk to each other and provide me with digital free to air channels? OR do I need a receiver to fit between the two. I thought the former and have done a little fiddling about but with no success at all. Not a glimmer. I've had this nagging doubt that I need something else.
Thanks
Vick

At a guess your tv is set up for terestrial free to view and your dish is for Satelite free to view so no they wont talk to each other without a satelite free to view box(decoder) in the middle

You're absolutely right Geo. It is set up for terestrial so a receiver is now on it's way to me. Thanks for your help.
