Yes it do Ginny, If the sky box is left turned off in your motor home 4 and 5 may have to re set ,takes a few mins and you may think you have lost them, but fear not
If you have sky at home you can use that card in the motorhome too, and if you have a package with sky most of that will work too inc 4 and 5

Try and plug the unit in before leaving home for a few hours then try and plug it in the minute you arrive at your destination.
Can sometimes speed thing up by taking the card in and out once its plugged in at your destination if it's not working and one other tip is to switch the power off completely if you cant get it the replug it.

A sky FTV card unlocks
C4, C4+1, Five, Fiver US, Five US+1, Fiver, Fiver+1, Sky Three, (and in some sky receiver Setanta Sports News, and Fox News)
You can also watch C4 without a Sky card - use the frequency 10729 V , 22000, 5/6 - channel tagged as 8350 - this is the free C4 version used by freesat receivers.
If sky cards have been without a signal from the satellite for a few months they "go to sleep". They can be woken up by receiving a signal over 24 hours. However, some FTV cards have been know to die completely after not getting a signal for over 3 months - in which case a new card is requried.
FTV and SKy cards will work in all Sky recivers. Sky Sports and Movie channels will only work in their designated "home " sky box. There are however some recivers that can have their firmware updated to and can recieve these channels OK. The downside of this is that you loose your friendly Sky EPG.
Hope this helps.

yes you can record onto a Sky+ using only one input
but in most cases (see how i am covering myself there )
to record the channels / programme you are watching the cable from the dish uses input one.
to record future programmes (ie things set in the planner) the box uses input 2.
it will not be able to record two programmes on different channels unless you physically turn to the second channel - not very good if you are out for the night and want to record from 2 different channels.
mind you saying that, i do not know how the manual record function uses the 2 inputs....i may try that out later...
hope this helps

I think we will take it to Lincoln and try it out there, we are going back to France and Spain in the Autumn and I want it sorted for then.
We have just bought a Horizon digital satellite meter. Do you know how this works? I tried to download the regions but was unsure what the website meant by selecting a region and then naming it. Does that mean we have a uk one which automatically tracks Astra 2 in the Uk and one for France and Spain etc. I am afraid I chickened out of downloading them in case I messed things up!

its been a while since i have seen an horizon meter.......
just looking at the download site for horizon, it looks like you can also download updated digital terrestial data, and by selecting the region you can specify which TV transitters you want to search for also - for the UK i recognise Crystal Palace and keithly transmitters.
i dare say also in the download will be an updated transponder list for satellite searching - selecting europe as your region will download the main european satellites, selecting africa will downlaod the main african satellites.
