Just in case...

Last weekend Winne heater, the cab not hab, absolutly fine, this weekend not, looks like fan issue as basically no fan, not even full speed. I can hear the vacumn control doing it's thing and if I select anything requiring a/c the clutch engages then disengages as I'd expext with no fan running.

This is a '95 P30 (Chevy) chassis with the old radio push button style control and just wondered if anyone had had similar?

I was about to start the investigation proper at the weekend but some idiot(me) had left the multi meter on and so battery dead

are you getting any heat through the heater i changed the matrix on mine not an easy job ,try traceing the wires from the fan and wire it direct to a 12 v source just to check to see if it blows then bypass the switch i hate electrickery all you can do is elimanate things one by one
