Default Brownhills a Poll

The recent allegation that Brownhills refused to sell a motorhome to a customer who had moaned about poor service on motorhomefacts is astonishing.

Brownhills are always being slated on the forums. Most people are quicker to complain than to praise. Are Brownhills that bad? Is it just that they have ooo's of customers and a few vocal disgruntled ones forming a tiny minority of their customer base. Or, have many of those disgruntled purchasers not found the internet yet? Brownhills apethetic after sales service is legendary on the internet. Do they really deserve the terrible rep that they endure here? Please have a vote in this poll and let us know

Hi

The talk in the trade Jim is that Brownhills is really struggling at the moment with branches closing and stock at the open ones really down.

I can remember the shock when Ilford Photographic closed back in the days when Ilford and of course Kodak ruled that trade.

Kodak these days are not the giant they used to be. Maybe if Brownhills customer service is as bad as people claim it might be that they have just not kept up with today's customer's level of service expectation just like Kodak did not appreciate the worlds move to digital.

Having never bought from Brownhills I can't vote in the poll but it will be interesting to see the result

Isn't this an old story, or was there another one like it a few months ago ??

Heard on the grapevine a while ago that Brownhills were losing some of their franchises, Hobby reportedly one of them. Perhaps it is a case that the manufacturers will no longer supply them the vehicle in question.

The idea of a poll based on the opinions of people who have actually bought from Brownhills is a good one. So please can you clarify option 4, which seems to allow those with no personal experience but a lot to say on the matter a platform to do so?

I agree jake but option 4 lets all those (like me) who have never been a customer but have been swayed by the bad press on internet sites like this one and would never buy from Brownhills. It seems from the tiny amount of voters thus far that there are more satisfied than not but many more who have heard the horror stories and would not buy.

Also interesting so far is that 5 are satisfied, but only two of that 5 would buy from them again.

Hi all
Whilst I agree with the comments made by Jim about people voting whether they have been a customer of Brownhills or not, I would say that unless the people who make up the 5 (at the time of writing) satisfied customers had the option to vote twice (or more times) then we cannot extrapolate the 2 out of 5 figure that you have given Jim... The 2 that would buy from them again are in fact not from that original 5 unless I am reading this incorrectly?
Personally I would never buy a motorhome from Brownhills because of the comments of others and I cannot see us ever being so desperate as to take (what appears to us) such risks...... I hope that we have learned from others.

Hi Keith. The poll is configured so that you may vote twice.
