Hi Jim
In that case there is a good chance that your extrapolation is correct then The only sure way to know that is if one were able to view the IP addy of the voters and obviously I can't.... I wonder if the 5 voters know that they can vote twice? I didn't, but that ain't saying much is it?

Interesting poll all the same, hopefully some of the dealers will look at these polls and take action upon the outcomes in order to better satisfy their customers.
Maybe I should offer my services as a consultant to offer these dealers vast increases in business in return for an obscene recompense

Its a private vote so I cannot see who has voted, but I can work out from the numbers that only a few have voted twice, so my guesses are wrong anyway

We got our Hymer from Newark and had a few problems when we collected it but to be fair to Brownhills they payed for us to stop in a hotel over the road and did eventually pay for our meals and other out of pocket expenses. We did have to write a couple of letters to get the cash back though.

They even gave us a voucher to spend in there shop as a good will gesture because of the delay on collection.

We have been back to Newark for a couple of minor problems to be sorted out under warantee and had reasonable service. One of the main problesm is getting to speak to the right person and wating for the call that you never get back, you have to do all the work and chase them. But recently we have used there North East branch which is closesr to us and far better IMHO.

I would buy from them again if the deal was right, we originaly bought from them as we got a good deal from the NEC show and we wanted a UK Hymer.

I think some of the bad press might be down to a some people jumping on the band waggon and joining in when someone has a problem even though they have not had any dealings with Brownhills. However I do know of some people that have had really bad service and Brownhills should have sorted the problems out with them and not disowned them.

I have purchased 2 new vans from Brownholes , salesman i used is very good , Handover has been good on both occasions although on our second van they never had time to valet it . The main issue seems to come with aftersales , telephone calls seem rarely returned , parts were never ordered.
Would i buy from them again Yes if i felt the deal was the best available

well where do i start ...after purchasing a motorhome from cannock which i ended up keeping for three yes 3 weeks i then traded it in for my current one at newark, along with qe2 the salesman was spot on namely grant thrope..and geoff tucker... with a few teething problems i had. i resulted in a solicitors letter which really got things moving.. as for the service dept well thats another story, i even had a so called aftersales manager tap me on the shoulder and tell me he will be with me in five min then walk over to a receptionist before walking out the dept, sending her over to tell me he wouldn't be seeing me today...needless to say he no longer works there.. as for the bodyshop side of things they seem to have there act in order with someone that actually knows what he is doing namely wayne.. if they only all took a leaf from his book, maybe just maybe there aftersales might be worth a w**k..
as for buying from there again YES i would but the deal must be good

I bought my Van at 12 months old in a private sale.I then paid Autocruise to have the remaining warranty changed over and I also spoke to Brownhills to confirm they would Honor the warranty. They agreed to this on the provision that they carried out all services on the van and all Habitation services.
At 15 months old the Motiques on the Van began to peel away due to water getting behind them.A friend who works in this line has examined them and states they have not been fitted properly. I spoke to Autocruise who stated this was not covered under the warranty, it took me 24 hours to find this out at the same time I asked Brownhills about the problem 7 weeks to come back and tell me what Autocruise had to say. What Brownhills did agree to do was fit new ones for me with no fitting charge and so my bill would be £120 approx.
I decided to agree to this and thought best to have the Habitation and Van service done at the same time, rang to book in told by female we only service Fiats ( I have a Peugeot)sent another email to the Service Manager for clarification 4 weeks ago no reply. Was at the time informed the Habitation service was £215 + VAT.
As the saying goes stuff that booked in local Caravan Dealer £80 Habitation and local Garage Van service £140.Would I buy off Brownhills?
