English or French in France
John posted a list of English owned camp sites in France, and that got me thinking. Would you choose an English owned site in France over a French one? I like to immerse myself in the old 'petit-pois' and 'chamois leatheerr' when I am in France, not the 'cor blimey wos the wevver doin in Dover mate'
That said of course, I can’t wait to stay at Vanessa’s place and Parc Verger

In France I would always use Aires de Service and probably never stay on a campsite. But others who don't speak the language find some comfort in English owned sites and not all try and mimic a drunk cockney!
Perhaps the next poll will ask would you camp on an English site owned by a Scot!

I'd have liked to see a 'no' option but I guess that the 'not bothered' one covers it.
Some English owned sites e.g. Vanessa's and Parc V have reasonable rates but I've been on one that charged £s and not €s ...circa 25% more than the French equivalent...
...Probably used the Caravan Club rates as a guide
Another off putting aspect was the fact that most folks on site were English!

Well they would say that wouldn't they Thing is, I think they are probably telling the truth. France does have a lot going for it. Its a beautiful country, and Sarkosy seems to have a little more "je ne sais quoi" than our Gordon.
