If you use what Satellite Navigation, what make and model do you own and would you buy it again?

I own the TomTom 910 I would not buy it again. The mount is useless, even the replacement ones. The software is good but at a crucial moment it will either fall off the windscreen, power down or flash up and ask if you want to connect to your PC.. The after care has been OK but the replacement kit they send is as bad as the kit they replace. Just sent mine back "Not fit for purpose"

I have no idea what model our Navman is (about 2 years old) but I know that to buy maps for it is expensive, but I leave all that to him indoors. Only ever had a couple of blips from it, but in general we have found it very useful.
I have to say that we did need to buy an external aerial for it though as without that it was useless.

I had a Navman icn630 good bit of kit but Navman stopped support when they updated their models. I WILL NEVER BUY THEIR PRODUCTS AGAIN AS THIS WAS AN EXPENSIVE PIECE OF KIT.
I now have the tomtom720 and it is superb!

Jill bought me a Tom Tom at Christmas 2 years ago. In general it is OK but you have to be careful, especially in a motorhome, that it doesn't take you down narrow roads - I normally check against a road atlas for minor roads.
The original mount isn't all that good for use on the windscreen (we have had it fall off) but OK in the van as per attached photo. I bought an alternative mount kit and use a swan neck fitting in the Berlingo.
One disappointment is the out of date state of the maps. The A1 re-alignment rounf Ferrybridge had opened before the unit was purchased but not reflected in the maps. I bought a map upgrade last year and it is still not right. I haven't purchased the latest map upgrade because, at the price, I'm not sure of the value.
Next unit I buy will need to be one where you can set it for large vehicle to avoid narrow roads.

I use a VDO (about 5 yrs old) in the RV, which doubles as a second (look down) reversing camera. Excellent system, with a good remote control. I used to move it into the car, but the wear and tear on the connectors led me to buy a tomtom. First on my IPAQ, but then the aerial broke, and I couldn't find a replacement. So I bought a tomtom 720, which I also use when trucking. Fab piece of kit.

I still have my old Tom Tom GO 300 which is superb with the benefit of the new Western Europe Mapping by TT.
Accessories are difficult now but sometime available on Fleebay.
yes I have the back double syndrome with mine to and with an RV can be quite a shock

I don't own one and will never buy one. However. If someone was to donate one to me for FREE? I may consider using one on an irregular basis.

I like the Acer PDA I have, it is not the best I suppose but it does lots more then just sat-nav, I did think that AutoRoute was the best for me and used it for many years, until it let me down this year (see my web, Germany).
