Default A Photo Competition?

If you are like me you will enjoy photography whilst on your camping travels. Motorhomefacts run a successful competition that gets quite a few entries and is very popular.

Shall we have one here next year?

I was thinking of appointing a panel of around 6, who would choose say 20 or 40 "finalists/photos" and then just have the members vote on those. It would be simpler this way. and rather than a round a month we could just have a competition twice a year.

I didn't look at the competion on motorhomefacts this year, but I thought last year there were just too many entries, and wading through them all was difficult, which meant the first 20 got votes but the others didn't as I lost interest whilst using a slow Welsh narrowband connection.

What do you guys think? Artona is here, he runs the Competition on motorhomefacts, what you you think Stewart?

Great idea I'll definately take part I'm crap at photography but love it and am thinking about doing a night school course at the local college.

I bought a new Nikon SLR for our Thailand trip and the quality is fantastic just need a decent eye in the driving seat now.

I know its been done on the other side but it might be a good idea to hold a photogaphic meet. Perhaps one of the more experienced photographers among us could instruct all of us budding David Baileys into the correct usage of our cameras.
