Default Summer is here at last

At least it is in my garden with the first blooms appearing.

I thought I'd share my current pride & joy, absolutely gorgeous with flower heads 8 1/2" across.......needed to snap a pic before the deer and the rabbits got at it

Any guesses as to what it is? no prizes though

With my gardening skill that would have been taken out as a weed

I am an expert in this field

I did manage to grow one from last years seeds....they are exceedingly hard to cultivate especially when they are left outside in the frost anyway, my little seedling survived the elements only to be scoffed by a snail!
