There's been a TV ad running recently for a company that does such insurance but can't remember the name !
Found this: http://www.allcleartravel.co.uk/cgi-...01+msdw009+alc

http://www.oktotravelinsurance.co.uk...FbMbtAodqWMAFw

In fact whole load on a search: https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=e....1.dX9Ut7BZ4tc

but of course, no idea what the premiums would be like

I would imagine that most quotes would be similar, there is always the E111 to cover any medical probs in Europe but no idea what that cover is like.

Hi teddybard,
I wouldn't rely on the E111. Try Liverpool Victoria. I have just gone to them but is only up to 90 days. Annual Europe Multi-Trip.

Got any cover with your Bank account? OK we pay quite a lot for our current account on the face of it, but if ALL of the bank charge was the insurance premium it still works out cheaper than buying annual cover elsewhere with all I've got falling apart !

Well the E111 only covers emergency treatment and doesn't cover repatriation. So OK if you suddenly get peritonitis or break something, it's great. But it doesn't get you home again either in an air ambulance or by any other means should you need to or prefer to be ill at home.

And if you - say - have your blood tested whilst you have your appendix out or you visit a doc just cos you feel carp, and they say ah, by the way you have an underactive thyroid and need to be on Thyroxine now for the rest of your life - would the E111 pay for that?
