Yes, Liverpool/Dublin is expensive, but not if you live in Liverpool
. A 460 mile round trip to Stranraer, then another 260 mile round trip from Larne to Dublin is by no means cheap and very time consuming. With fuel costs as they are now some of the more expensive ferries are now working out cheaper and no wear and tear. It all depends where you live and where you are setting off from.
The drive is the adventure! The destination is just to get fuel.
Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.
