"Ask The Expert"
Among our members we have some extremely knowledgeable people, but I'm thinking of having an"Ask the Expert" forum so that we can have some "industry consultants" who check in here once a day to answer any questions that the members care to ask. The forums would be just like any other, with everyone allowed to discuss both the question and the expert’s answers. If we could get some good experts on board it could elevate the status of the forum which can of course help when we start touting for advertisers.
Duncan of Star Spangled Spanner likes the idea has already agreed to be our RV Mechanical Expert should it all go ahead, and I am hoping to have an Insurance expert offering their expertise soon. We could try and line up experts on Solar Power, satellite TV, security, fridges etc.
What do you think?

Sounds like a great idea - but don't experts expect to be paid? (I'm thinking of the likes of those people that write in MMM, etc.).
Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

If we choose people that are in the industry then I am hoping that the exposure (indirect Advertising) that they get in the forum would be payment enough.

Sounds like a great idea, as a relative novice I've always got questions.
Duncan is such a wealth of knowledge he would be perfect.

John,
All the travel consultants on MMM are volunteers, the only perks are free entry to the Warner's shows.
