Default Silver screens question

During winter we use our van every other week. The question is this......

Is it beneficial to leave the external screen on the van during storage ie:

Will it help with possible damp problems
Will it help keep the van warmer and the sun (if any) off the fabric etc
Or will it be of no real benefit but just get knackered and wet

Personally I think answer 3 is best applied.

I can see it keeping the sun out but left on they are just likely to get wet and green from mould.

It's a matter of choice but tend to put ours on, we leave a small greenhouse fan heater on frost setting so makes warming the van cheaper ( don't lose so much heat via screen) keeps sun off upholstery. Screens get dirty but wash off, does not seem to affect their life as had last set 8 years and sold with van (model change) and have seen them still in use 2 years later, on a site.
