Panel van conversion on ebay .. opinions please.
OK guys and gals .. what do you think of this camper .. ?
Citroen 2-3 Berth Silverline Camper/Motorhome 55 Reg on eBay (end time 16-Nov-09 23:03:14 GMT)
Good/bad base vehicle ?
Conversion.. ? I've never heard of them nor has Google.
Looks a well done job, so what is it's true value ?
If you were looking for a compact PVC would this tick all the boxes ?

jim. looks like its nicely fitted. but built on wrong wt chassis . prefer fixed bed at rear ,good storage underneath . if i was looking it would have to be something like the devon sahara on the old ldv /master but on an iveco or renault mascot. r.w.d. a must. mid length iveco makes a good base as the v.long one is too long.
bet that one cost 6-7grand for the conversion. be interesting to see what it makes.
cheers alan.

Looks nicely fitted out. Is it diesel or petrol? As it only has a 2 litre engine. Maybe a bit underpowered.
High mileage if it is petrol model.

my concerns would be
1) the distance you are from the builders should anything go wrong.
2)being an unknown quantilty you have no idea what lies behind the panels.(quality of insulation winterising etc).
3)You are no longer a young man Jim and making up a bed every day will soon knacker your back.
4)Could you really make do with such a huge reductiuon in space?
other than that it looks like a nice van.

Thanks Alan , I knew I could rely on you for an honest opinion ..I need a van that I can use daily , and can park in an ( almost ) standard parking bay ..

jim ,thats why i used iveco or the mascot. both just normal working vans, not really any bigger than you are looking at. also if you do it your self you can be a bit more stealth. nod nod. mascot not so common here but used alot on the continent. they are here though as vans.
