Well we set off for Appleby in glorious sunshine. Journey up the M6 was pleasant till we got near our turnoff then the fog came down. Can't see a hand in front of our faces.
Nevertheless we arrived safely at a crackin little CL at Croft End, a mile and a half from Appleby.
All hard standings each pitch with it's own hookup post, waste water dump and tap. (it only took me 15 mins to unfreeze the tap).
Very friendly owner who volunteered to bring us milk back from Appleby.
About 1 hour later Alan and Lynda arrived with some smashing pies and cream cakes for lunch.
We then set off for a walk with Lily (their German Pointer) and on the way back sussed out the local hostelry which looks very nice and has a good menu. (may try this out tommorrow night)
On returning to base before I could get the kettle on Alan appeared with a glass of whisky which he made me drink very much against my will. hic.
No piccies today due to thick fog but will update when I can.
