rossifan don't bother changing the name. It will be fun trying to find another Ruby around the sites. Both Swifts too. By the way I haven't had a bad word to say about the 'van or the wife. B****r that's another £1 coin to go in the tin.
Love my 'van......oh and love the wife.

We have an Autocruise Startrail, and we call it DIGNITY, I can see you now ..Why..There is a song by the band, Deacon Blue...A Ship Called Dignity and part of the lyric goes...

When they ask me how I got her, I'll say ,I saved my money:

Is'nt she pretty, a ship, called, DIGNITY

Just seemed right at the time as we'd saved up and bought the van....Soppy I know!!

We used to call ours "The Van", now we call it "Morrison" as in Van Morrison.

RATTY.

Took it in for a new cam belt the week we bought it.
The garage said we needed a new turbo inlet hose as well.
IT had holes in chewed by rats:Doh:

My van's official name is "Noah" (due to part of his number plate) but friends have recently started referring to him as "Cotterell Cottage".

For years we have called our caravans and motorhomes "The Pram" don't know how it came about or when it first started, but we all use it.

Hi
We have not called any of our vans names as yet, But several years ago we had vintage cars as a hobby, Our 1927 Austin Chummy was nicknamed Archie, We was at a rally in Yorkshire on the day 65 years earlier Archie had been registered, the MC of the show was going along the the collection of cars and giving a commentary on each vehicle over the tannoy system, when he came to Archie he announced that Archie was 65 years old today, and had the crowd singing happy birthday only to announce that Archie was a Car and not a person, I had a grin from ear to ear but Lynn ran off in shame.
