Vet: "Is it a tom?
Yorkshireman: "Nay, lad, I've browt it with us."

You try tell a yorkshire lass owt
How true I had an aunt who was a district nurse in Whitby she started on a bike her 'patch' went down to Robin Hoods Bay. She rode this bike in all weathers and didn't buy a car until the 60s,a Renault Dauphine.
Her favourite pastime was watching the wresting on TV or in Scarborough at the Floral hall. She died 4 years ago aged 93!

Hi,
I was fortunate that through a cosmic collision of chance to be born in Barnsley, must admit to enjoying this thread. I still have Hale & Paces Yorkshire Airways sketch ( with outside toilet) in mind.
Thank you
Steve

Where is this Yorkshire exactly?:winky:

Just to the right Lancashire, the real God's country, where honest, good looking God fearing folk live.
Yorkshire is the Eastern part of England where the poor folk live on ferret puddings and rhubarb soup.:winky:

Peter, why do you think they keep the Rhubarb under cover:winky: in the darkness:winky:...its like living gold:thumb:

Mel

Yorkshire....fed on sh*t, kept in the dark??:winky:

I am a Lancashireman. I therefore exercise my historic right to take the p*ss.
I also accept this goes both ways.
I can take it!:thumb:

I think it's quaint you have counties to fall back on when ( in sporting terms) the National side(s) are a bag of sh*t

Chek thee istry, owd lad.
Henry (Lancs) beat the crap out of Richard (Yorks), then married a Yorks lass to keep the boogers quiet.
That were t'final result.
There were no replay.
WE won.

Good things come out of Yorkshire, though.

Like the M62:ROFLMAO:

Quote
"Edward IV of York defeated Henry VI of Lancaster in 1461 and again in 1471, but his dynasty was short-lived. His brother, Richard III, was killed and succeeded in 1485 by Henry VII, of the House of Tudor - a distant relative of the Lancasters who married the daughter of Edward IV and united both Houses in the person of their son, Henry VIII.

So - the Lancasters were defeated in the War of the Roses, but the Yorks had little time to savor their victory." un quote

I know me great great great grandad used to go across the border for a bit of cross pollination..........................and some horse sh*t for his roses
