Hi all,
We have decided to get a cheap (10K or less) motorhome/campervan as we have two dogs and it will be easier to get away more often. We did own a few caravans over a 12 year period when our kids were small so I know about damp, maintenance etc. Any advice on what make/model we should lookout for, not to big (fit in a parking space?) not to small? Lots of old ford transit and fiat ducato based motorhomes out there but which is best and should I look for diesel or petrol engine?

Hi and welcome,if you are planning big mileage a diesel will be slightly more economical but probably dearer to buy.
6 mtrs is probably the maximum length to get in a parking space, even then a little overhang!
You really need to consider the size of the van could be determined by size of the dogs too!
You will get all the advice you need here, just given you a few things to consider.Enjoy whatever you buy and the forum.
