In Swift's defence, how could they know it was going to crack.
They probably fit dozens of these without problem.
Just unlucky in my view.
they are paper thin and crack easily, especially if the waste pipe is under any tension. It is so common a fault that specialists have made moulds to remake them in grp

Exactly! Hobby had saved themselves a couple of centimetres of waste pipe, causing strain on the plug hole and resulting in it cracking. We have since extended the waste pipe and installed a much stronger glass fibre basin.
