Wrong Van?? (1 Viewer)

I've done a few short climbing trips in the van now (Fiat 2.0, Besseccar body E410) and while the van is damn good, comfy, well equipped, everything works great and it is super good for touring the UK for short trips, I'm not sure I have the right van for my planned extended trip to Europe now.

I don't think I want to keep making up and taking down the bed every day and I'm thinking LHD will be best.

So I think I've found the preffered layout for me, a rear fixed double bed over garage with a side shower and cooking area, forward breakfast area and on a LHD chassis.....

Mmmmmm, now what then.
Anyone want to swop??

its strange but for long terming you have listed the favourite type of lay out .
usually a dinette area that could make another bed in an emergency.
always good if the dinnette seats can have a lift up flap at one end to allow daytime resting /sleeping .

Yeh agreed.....

I do intend to spend a few weeks at a time in it next year, not full timing per se but long timing

I may advertise this one and look for another.... Shame really because I like it overall

You would have LOVED the Miller I have just part ex'd.. Pretty much as you want .. even the shower / wet room is huge !

Consensus on here seems to be generally it takes 3 vans to find your ideal van, hire whichever you think is your new choice then buy your third 'ideal' van:thumb:

A downstairs bed has a huge impact on daytime comfort unless you buy a huge tag axle. You spend 30% of your life in bed. 70% is in the living area.

A drop down bed or Luton solves that problem.

if you have the payload capacity.....and many garage arrangements dont.

then you have to get the right conversion .
my dax is only 80kg .
but really its like saying you cant sleep 4persons in a two birth camper.
op is looking for the correct van for him /her .
we cant hold every ones hand all the time .
