Wooden Puzzle box information ? (1 Viewer)

I have a small wooden cube shaped puzzle box which is at least 100 years old.. I inherited it from my great aunt..
I used to play with it when I visited her.. and she told me my dad also played with when he was boy..

I wondered if anyone has any information on it.. where or who may have made it.. I've scoured the web to no avail..

Sadly one small piece and some of the corners are missing.. would like to have it restored ..

I think they were made in China or Japan originally

Those photos reminded me of my childhood and toys that we played with when I started school (at four years old) .. I could 'smell' the wood and was transported back ... feel weird inside.

Thanks Joy and Roger.. could well be from the far east..

Joy. I've looked at these sites before and while they are alike , ie box puzzles, I can't find one that is the same as mine.. most look new or modern puzzles..

will keep looking..
